IOP- Sober Living Programs for Men-Delray Beach, Florida

Boca House of Delray Beach, Florida offers IOP Intensive Outpatient Program through our sister treatment center, Treatment Alternatives which is a Fully Licensed Intensive Outpatient Drug Rehab Program. The program is structured with a sober housing component.

The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for men & women who need more structure than the average Outpatient Program and who need to maintain their current employment or school commitments. Our staff has been working together for over 25 years to help clients control their addiction and live a healthy, happy, sober life.

If participating in an inpatient residential addiction treatment rehab for 30 days or longer is just not an option for you, but you need addiction treatment and help, Boca House - Treatment Alternative's IOP rehab has worked successfully for many of our current and past clients.

IOP is a more intensive alcohol drug rehab recovery program than just maintaining residence in the Boca House sober living and halfway house community.

The Boca House - Treatment Alternatives IOP program is affordable and effective and a great alternative to traditional inpatient programs, and at a much lower coast. Additionally, most insurance programs cover IOP addiction treatment programs.

Sober Living in Florida

Steve Z. At Boca House , I learned so much about myself and my life. I came in broken down and weak. But with the help of staff and therapists, they helped me get on the right path of life. A lot of people doubted that I would make it this far. But I showed that with hard work and willingness, anything is possible. Take suggestions, make mistakes and reach for your ultimate goal. Thank you to all the staff that stuck by me. I love you all. Jim B. Here at Boca House , I found truth within myself. I’ve made peace with who and what I am. Many of my friends have gone through rehab centers, and everyone of them hated every day of it. Here, I was not only in a relaxed environment, allowing us freedoms, but I’ve gained more out a month and a half than in 16 years of psych-therapy. The therapists here are amazing and even the techs are here for our recovery. This is an awesome program, and I thank my Higher Power for the blessing.

Delray Beach Florida Sober Living-After Care Recovery Programs

Following primary care addiction treatment, drug rehab and detox a man in recovery may find it difficult to reintroduce himself to the day-to-day living that seems to come so naturally for non-addicts. That’s where Boca House Sober Living for Men can help.

Many times men will complete a 30 day inpatient addiction treatment rehab program and then return to normal day-to-day living, only to relapse. This is beyond disappointing and can be very expensive. The research available to us today, suggests that the longer a man can stay in a recovery program, the better his chances are to succeed at living a happy, successful and sober life.

This takes time, and Boca House is a cost effective way to get acclimated to a sober life following inpatient addiction treatment and alcohol rehab programs. "A typical stay at Boca House is 6 months but many of our residents chose to stay for longer periods ranging from 18-24 months."

Boca House Testimonials

Listen to those who have recovered at Boca House

Anonymous
Boca House has given me a second change at life. When I came here, my mind was a mess. This place has helped me see my character flaws and learn how to work on them. Most importantly, I have received more knowledge to be a better mother to my son. I love and thank everyone.

Mike U.
I’d like to take this time and thank all of you for all that you have done for me. When I first started out, I didn’t think I had it in me. I thought I was hopeless. But with your help and countless others, I have been able to make it through another day. Boca House played a crucial role in my recovery and for that I am forever grateful. I believe that without this place, I wouldn’t have a chance at a life. All of the therapists and Boca House staff have shoed me unconditional love, and will always hold a very special place in my heart because I would not have a single breath of life in me today. Thank you so much, and I’m sure my mother would like to thank all of you, too.

Elizabeth H.
I stepped out of a taxi with my bag next to me ready to fix my drinking problem once and for all. My knees were shaking and it was time to be brave and confident. As I walked toward the other clients waiting to enter the building, I slipped and landed flat on my @!#! A gentle hand from a staff member reached out and helped me. He reassured me that everything would be okay. I should have known then this was going to be a rough ride.

My therapist at Boca House warmed me that I needed to “buckle my seat belt and hang on for a rough ride.” She didn’t tell me that she wouldn’t leave my side through the storm. I love her for that. Another therapist gently stood right next to me when I lacked the courage to face correction and tolerated my relentless efforts to defend my myself and my addiction.

Both of you and Boca House are forever in my heart and I am thankful to everyone—techs, staff and the owners—for opening my eyes wide and loving me for being a human being.

Betty Ford, A Pioneer in Recovery Passes

DETROIT (AP) — Betty Ford, the former first lady whose triumph over drug and alcohol addiction became a beacon of hope for addicts and the inspiration for her Betty Ford Center in California, died at age 93, a family friend said.

Her death Friday was confirmed to The Associated Press by Marty Allen, chairman emeritus of the Ford Foundation. Family spokeswoman Barbara Lewandrowski said later that the former first lady died at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. Other details of her death were not immediately available.
Ford's husband, former President Gerald R. Ford, died in December 2006.

"She was a wonderful wife and mother; a great friend; and a courageous First Lady," former President George H.W. Bush said in a statement on Friday. "No one confronted life's struggles with more fortitude or honesty, and as a result, we all learned from the challenges she faced."

Boca House honors her contributions and passing. God Bless.

Boca House has recovery for Women too! Boca House for Women

Step-by-step, the residents of Awakenings halfway house for women regain the self confidence and sense of worth lost while living in their addiction. And every step of the way our halfway house residents receive the peer-to-peer support so essential to developing and maintaining a substance-free lifestyle.
Our services allow you to transition through three stages of independent sober living.

Stage I (Months 1-2)
Stage 1 is all about orientation and adjustment. You will be assigned a big sister who will help guide you through the early stages, and for the first two weeks, you will be driven daily to 12-step meetings in the area. This will allow you to build a support group in recovery outside Awakenings, even as you develop supportive friendships within the Boca House community.

Stage II (Months 3-4)
For Stage II residents, there is more flexibility. The satisfaction of gainful employment and the daily rewards of a healthy lifestyle should make each day a little easier. Curfews are later and meetings focus more on relapse prevention.

Stage III (Months 4+)
This Senior Stage is designed for residents who wish to continue their recovery in a safe environment. It offers you more independence with a continued emphasis on full-time employment and 12-step meetings, while maintaining an ongoing relationship with your sponsor. This stage is all about helping you meet the challenges of living clean and sober.

GRADUATE (Months 8+)
Graduating affords you the opportunity to become fully responsible for yourself, without the supervision of others, and still take advantage of the Awakenings recovery community. We have seven graduate houses, each beautifully furnished with bedroom and private bath for up to four Awakenings graduates. And each residence has its own swimming pool.

Boca House-The Best Sober Living Halfway Houses for Men & Women

FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
Steve Manko President-Boca House

Steve Manko's personal journey of recovery is the story of one man's belief in the American dream. The dream that one can come back from the destruction of chemical dependency and build a life that makes a difference. Steve has plenty of what it takes - courage, determination, and especially concern for others.
His story is a voyage from business and personal success at the highest levels of society to one of self-destruction and the depths of addiction. One morning he awakened to the reality that he had lost everything. That he was, in fact, powerless. This was a very bitter pill for Steve to swallow.

After a search for reputable treatment centers, he selected South Florida and the Hanley-Hazleden Center, recognizing Hazelden as the great pioneer in the field. Here he received the help he needed and slowly began to reclaim his life and his dignity. After obtaining sobriety, Steve decided not to return home but rather to remain in Florida where his sober support system was.

It didn't take long for him to recognize what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Steve began to reach out to others with his personal story as well as with his dream and model of recovery. Now, 20 years later, 30 rehabilitation facilities exist in this area as the result of this vision and passion.

His programs embrace people at every level of recovery and in every socio-economic parallel with an unprecedented success rate. The synergetic effects of Steve's efforts in South Florida have resulted in this area becoming the largest recovery community in the World.

Recently Steve won a major case in Federal Court for discrimination against disabled persons; the millions of addicts and alcoholics, both in an out of recovery, that suffer from this life destructive disease. This epidemic in America has untold costs. It took 5 years and millions of dollars plus the emotional and financial drain on Steve and his family.

As a result of his commitment to stay the fight, Federal law now protects the rights of recovering men and women in new ways. They can no longer be treated as outcasts but rather can live anywhere within the very communities they are becoming contributing members of. This legal victory is, perhaps, the greatest legacy of the man we call Steve Manko.
