For over 25 years, we have been the recovery center of long-term sobriety for thousands of women. Many of our former residents have gone on to lead exemplary lives, and a few have returned to make a career out of helping others right here at Boca House Recovery Programs.
Everyone at Boca House Recovery Programs, and specifically the Awakenings program for women, live a life according to the 12-step principles of recovery. A balance of addiction recovery, treatment, school or work along with many social activities fills every day with fun, challenge and excitement..
Our intensive outpatient program is available with or without a structured, safe and secure housing component. IOP is a step up from simple sober living, and provides regular counseling and treatment sessions with our certified credentialed addiction treatment staff. Once our female clients complete the intensive outpatient program, many will then transfer to our sober living homes and long term after care program.
Nothing has proved to be more effective in determining an excellent outcome in sobriety, than those who are able to stay in a sober structured environment for as long as possible.

I stepped out of a taxi with my bag next to me ready to fix my drinking problem once and for all. My knees were shaking and it was time to be brave and confident. As I walked toward the other clients waiting to enter the building, I slipped and landed flat on my @!#! A gentle hand from a staff member reached out and helped me. He reassured me that everything would be okay. I should have known then this was going to be a rough ride.
My therapist at Boca House warmed me that I needed to “buckle my seat belt and hang on for a rough ride.” She didn’t tell me that she wouldn’t leave my side through the storm. I love her for that. Another therapist gently stood right next to me when I lacked the courage to face correction and tolerated my relentless efforts to defend my myself and my addiction.
Both of you and Boca House are forever in my heart and I am thankful to everyone—techs, staff and the owners—for opening my eyes wide and loving me for being a human being.
